TeslaWrap FAQ
Answers about free Tesla wraps, AI credits, supported models, USB install, PNG rules, gallery downloads, and affiliation. Not affiliated with Tesla, Inc.
Is TeslaWrap free?
Yes for core use. The wrap editor, 3D preview, unlimited Toybox Colorizer / Paint Shop–ready PNG exports, and browsing the community gallery are free. Optional AI wrap generation uses credits; credit packs are sold on https://teslawrapcar.com/pricing.
How do AI credits work?
AI generation consumes credits from your balance. Buy a credit pack on the pricing page when you want AI-assisted designs. Credits are for generation features; they are not required to design manually, preview in 3D, export PNG files, or download free gallery wraps. See current pack options at https://teslawrapcar.com/pricing.
Which Tesla models are supported?
TeslaWrap targets Cybertruck, Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X, including newer variants such as 2024 Model 3 and 2025 Model Y where templates and 3D assets are available. A few variants may not have a 3D asset yet; the stage indicates that when applicable. Always pick the template that matches your exact model and trim.
How do I install a wrap on my Tesla?
Export a compliant PNG from TeslaWrap. Upload it in the Tesla app under Creations → Wrap → Upload when your app supports wraps, or copy it into a root-level Wraps folder on an exFAT/FAT32 USB drive. Then open Toybox → Paint Shop → Wraps (or Colorizer / Customize Wrap on your software) and select the design. Step-by-step detail is on https://teslawrapcar.com/tesla-paint-shop.
What PNG rules does Paint Shop require?
Use a real PNG under 1 MB, with each side between 512 and 1024 pixels (commonly 1024×1024 for Model 3/Y/S/X templates and 1024×768 for Cybertruck). Keep filenames to 30 characters or fewer using letters, numbers, spaces, underscores, or dashes. Preflight tips are on https://teslawrapcar.com/tesla-wrap-png-checker.
Is a Paint Shop wrap the same as vinyl, or does it change real paint?
No on both counts. A Paint Shop / Toybox Colorizer wrap only changes the digital car visualization on the screen (and related app views). It is not physical vinyl film, does not alter factory paint, and you can switch back from the touchscreen anytime.
Is TeslaWrap affiliated with Tesla, Inc.?
No. TeslaWrap at https://teslawrapcar.com is an independent third-party studio for designing, previewing, and exporting custom wrap PNGs. It is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc.
Can I download wraps from the gallery?
Yes. Browse community designs at https://teslawrapcar.com/explore, pick a design for your model, and download the PNG export for USB or app upload. Prefer the exported wrap file over screenshots of the 3D preview.
Where do I create a new design?
Use https://teslawrapcar.com/create for AI-assisted generation, or https://teslawrapcar.com/create/manual for hands-on editing with layers, text, and image uploads on the correct vehicle template.
Why does my wrap not show up in Paint Shop?
Most misses are file or transfer issues: not a real PNG, over 1 MB, dimensions outside 512–1024 px, a bad filename, USB folder not named Wraps at the drive root, NTFS formatting, or hitting the wrap count limit. Confirm the PNG checklist, then retry app upload or USB. Wrong-template art can still “appear” but look misaligned—rebuild on the matching template in Create or Manual Create.
